What Is eLearning Commons?
eLearning Commons is the new and improved version of WebCT/Blackboard Vista. UGA's current version of WebCT will be replaced with ELC by January 2010.
Timeline for eLearning Implementation
March 2009 Begin Faculty Workshops for eLearning Commons. May 2009 Early adopters begin using eLearning Commons, and all new users are encouraged to use eLearning Commons. August 2009 More users on eLearning Commons. Fall 2009 is the final semester for WebCT 4.1 so much of our efforts will be devoted to the transition process. January 2010 All courses are now on eLearning Commons. WebCT 4.1 is no longer availible for use with students.
